Introducing Gust: An Efficient Task Orchestrator in Elixir

Gust is a newly developed task orchestration system created in Elixir, inspired by the challenges faced with Airflow, notably high resource consumption and a cumbersome user interface. Gust aims to provide a more efficient solution, boasting ten times the performance. It stands out from other background processing libraries like Oban, Handoff, and Reactor by offering a full orchestration system that includes a user interface, task coordination, trigger scheduling, and built-in secret storage. The system is still in active development, and suggestions for improvements are welcomed. Gust is positioned as a comprehensive tool compared to other solutions which focus on specific aspects of job processing and workflow management.
