Overview of LiveState and Related Projects

Chris Nelson, co-founder and principal engineer at Launch Scout, presented 'LiveState and Friends' at GigCityElixir24. He began by introducing LiveState, a package that simplifies front-end development by rendering state and sending events, leveraging Phoenix channels. He demonstrated its use in an airport map example, detailing both front-end and back-end code. Chris then introduced live templates, allowing for simpler front-end development without creating custom elements, and live signals, which bridges the signal concept to backend channels, notably using preact in the demo. He also mentioned real-world applications like LiveRoom and an internal project, Launch Elements.
