ExVision: A New Computer Vision AI Library for Elixir

Daniel Jodlos presents ExVision, a new Elixir library developed by Software Mansion that provides a suite of computer vision AI models. ExVision aims to be user-friendly, targeting those new to AI by offering high-level APIs and comprehensive documentation. Its initial release includes models for image classification, object detection, and semantic segmentation. ExVision offers flexibility by supporting various input types such as image paths, Nx Tensors, and Vix.Image, while performing necessary pre and post-processing. The library addresses the need for fast, near real-time models suitable for video processing, differentiating itself from other solutions like Bumblebee by leveraging ONNX models for broader compatibility. Available on Hex, the community is encouraged to try ExVision and provide feedback for future enhancements.
