Hezwat spent 4-6 weeks studying Elixir and is aiming to work professionally with the language. Out of curiosity and possibly to gauge job market prospects, hezwat analyzed data from the 2023 Stack Overflow Survey, which involved a large sample of 90,000 developers. The analysis entailed filtering the dataset for those who have worked with Elixir or Phoenix using Excel, mapping the three-letter country codes to the appropriate countries, and adjusting any discrepancies manually. To produce the visual representation, a short Python script was utilized to count the occurrences, and the resulting data were displayed on a map with the help of libraries such as pandas and plotly.express. Additionally, hezwat is open to job opportunities in the U.S. and has extended an invitation for potential employers to contact him directly.
